Sealed Bids are invited for the construction of:
Project Name: 4th Street Sewer Replacement Project
Contract No. 2009-131 Budget I.D. No. B10144
This Contract involves installation of replacement pipe for the 24" brick sewer along the 1100 Block of
S. 4th Street between W. Oak Street and W. St. Catherine Street. The major items of construction include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Remove and replace approx. 800 L.F. 24-Inch Sanitary Sewer.
2. Handle existing flows during construction.
3. Replace 5 Manholes.
4. Install saddles to reconnect all property service connections.
5. Resurface approximately 2,440 S.Y. roadway.
6. All associated work.
All work will be done in accordance to MSD’s Standard Specifications.
The engineer's estimate for this project is greater than $50,000; therefore, in accordance with MSD's Supplier Diversity (MBE/WBE Participation) Contractor Compliance Program (CCP), Supplier Diversity goals shall be required for this project. The Supplier Diversity goals are 15% MBE and 6% WBE participation. MBE/WBE contractors must be certified prior to the bid opening (Click here to access the certified list).
Supplier Diversity required forms including the MBE/WBE Data Sheet, Proposal and Bid Certificate should be submitted for each MBE/WBE subcontractor. For a copy of MSD’s Contractor Compliance Program and Supplier Diversity required forms and instructions go to MSD’s Suppliers Diversity Website.
MSD gives preference to local businesses seeking to do business as suppliers or prime contractors which are defined as businesses that have headquarters or a branch office currently located in Louisville Metro that has been located in this area for at least one year prior to the date of the Invitation for Bid. Five percent (5%) will be added to the bid price quoted by each bidder or RFP respondent for a business that does not meet the definition of local business as set forth in MSD’s Procurement Regulations, Section 2A-14(a) when calculating price points for bid award.
