Sealed Bids are invited for the construction of:
Project Name: Gate #1 Access Improvements
Contract No. 2009-138 Budget I.D. No. F10143
This Contract involves installation of access improvements for Gate # 1 located at Drescher Bridge Avenue with the installation of approximately 425 CY of earthen backfill, 52 tons of engineered base, 150 SY of filter fabric, 150 SY of GeoBlock, erosion control measures, seed and straw restoration, and appurtenant work. The major items of construction include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Cleaning/Preparation of construction area.
2. Installation of approx. 425 CY earthen backfill, 52 tons of base, & 150 SY filter fabric.
3. Installation of approx. 150 SY GeoBlock roadway to gate structure.
4. Install appropriate Erosion Control measures.
5. Restoration
6. Preconstruction Photos
7. Mobilization/Demobilization
8. All appurtenant work
All work will be done in accordance to MSD’s Standard Specifications
The engineer's estimate for this project is less than $50,000; therefore, in accordance with MSD's Supplier Diversity (MBE/WBE Participation) Contractor Compliance Program (CCP), Supplier Diversity goals shall not be required for this project. MSD gives preference to local businesses seeking to do business as suppliers or prime contractors which are defined as businesses that have headquarters or a branch office currently located in Louisville Metro that has been located in this area for at least one year prior to the date of the Invitation for Bid. Five percent (5%) will be added to the bid price quoted by each bidder or RFP respondent for a business that does not meet the definition of local business as set forth in MSD’s Procurement Regulations, Section 2A-14(a) when calculating price points for bid award.
